My passion project is now my career.
I spent 26 years working for a computer software company in San Luis Obispo before deciding in 2025 to lean into what I truly love: digital marketing, social media, and brand management.
I started Clare Kindness Marketing in January 2025, and since then I've had the joy of supporting more than 20 businesses with everything from newsletter writing and website creation to social media management, Google Business optimization, branding, and content creation.
One of my favorite parts of my work is meeting clients where they are, helping them grow, and celebrating every milestone along the way.
Watching good businesses become more visible and connect with more people is incredibly rewarding.
Growing my business over the past year and a half has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I feel so grateful every day that I get to do work I truly love!!

I am Clare! I'm a daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, former office manager, Catholic raised, Scorpio, bibliophile, xenophile, activist, Lady Gaga fanatic, and lover of humanity.
After the 2016 presidential election I was so saddened by the negativity in the news cycle and realized that I was not proud of how I was interacting with some people in my life while discussing current events, in fact I was ashamed.
I've been on a mission to find ways to be kinder myself and ways to inspire others to spread kindness ever since.
Here are some of the milestones that have empowered a kindness transformation in my life.
MILESTONES
2000 - started working for CDM Technologies, Inc. (now Boeing)
2005 - became the unofficial company event planner
2006 - started the Dining for Women giving circle chapter in Templeton, California
2010 - founded the Kindness Club in our office
2016 - committed to writing 100 thank you notes over six months
2017 - created my lifestyle blog to educate readers on ways to be kind to themselves, their families, coworkers, friends, neighbors, brothers, and sisters around the world, and our Mother Earth
2018 - started the Clare Kindness podcast to speak with locals who were spreading kindness in our town and beyond
2019 - interviewed bestselling authors like Hal Elrod and Todd Parr for the podcast to continue to inspire my listeners to be kind to be happy and successful in work and at home
2020 - found special new ways to keep colleagues close through the lock down and forced remote work
2021 - became a workshop facilitator and corporate speaker
2022 - became a social media manager for local business leaders in SLO
2023 - started coaching clients on business strategies
2024 - opened my online clothing store front
2025 - opened Clare Kindness Agency and replaced my full time job’s income
